RUBIN & POOR, INC.

Rubin & Poor began its life in 1987 with the development a configurable program for the analysis and reporting of Western blot testing for HIV. From then up to the present, Rubin & Poor has been developing custom systems for the management and reporting of test data for blood centers. SD_Net, a flagship laboratory information system, began distribution with FDA 510(k) clearance in 2000.

Our special understanding of the needs of blood center laboratories came about through years of sitting side by side with lab techs, learning what they do, what information is needed to make quality and production decisions on a day-to-day basis. This special perspective means that we speak "lab" and not just information technology jargon. Our feeling is that laboratories have reasons for the way they do things, and that our software should facilitate that process--not the other way around.
